Drexel Hill Home Older Than United States of America
Recently Allday.com put out a post showing some of the oldest homes in the United States of America. One home in Drexel Hill, PA built between 1604 and 1605 made the list. Here’s what Allday had to say about the home:
“The Lower Swedish Cabin in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, is one of the earliest examples of Swedish log construction in the United States. The house was built between 1640 and 1650 by Swedish colonists who settled in the area and was also the site of several films created in the early 1900s by the esteemed Siegmund Lubin.”
As you can see from the pictures the home doesn’t have the amenities we’ve all become used on the Main Line in the modern era.
